Wilyabrup Highland Cattle is a boutique breeder based in the Margaret River region, Western Australia.
Here, we raise Scottish Highland cattle on our coastal property at Wilyabrup, with a focus on producing calm, good natured cattle suited to breeders, companion herds and rural holdings. As registered breeders with the Australian Highland Cattle Society, we’re guided by experience, care and a deep respect for the breed and the landscape we call home.

Our Story
Our herd is guided by owner and breeder Elizabeth, who grew up on a Scottish cattle farm and brings that experience and heritage into every decision made here in Wilyabrup.
From a young age she learnt the importance of good temperament, strong genetics and respectful handling. These principles shape the way we raise our cattle today.
What began with just two cows has grown into a carefully developed herd. We honour the breed’s Scottish origins while embracing the unique character of our location in the South West, producing Highland cows that are well suited as family pets or for breeders.
Our Location
Our family farm in Wilyabrup is located in the heart of Margaret River region, surrounded by some of Western Australia’s most celebrated wineries.
The landscape is shaped by native banksia, peppermint trees, coastal heath and seasonal wildflowers, with the famous Cape-to-Cape Track running along the edge of our property. Below the cliffs, powerful swells and sheltered beaches create some of the region’s most dramatic surf breaks and stunning ocean views.
Born and raised in this unique and beautiful location, our herd is well adapted to Western Australian conditions and proudly reflects the strength and character of the landscape they call home.
